Question about filling out job application?

I want to apply to a substiute position for a childcare center but when I am filling out the application I don't know how to answer the question "have you ever been convicted of misdemeanor?" I was found guilty of aggravated harment in the 2nd degree and I had to pay a large sum of money in restitution which is now completed paid off. But I never ever served ANY jail time and I didn't do community service. My only consequence for doing what I did was to pay restitution. So on a job application do I answer "yes" or "no" to this question?
