How to make my own command in linux?

how can I make my own command which is getLogin, its purpose is I should find how many users are currently logged in on the linux (telnet), who are idle, how many hours they are logged in. i need the code that it will compress the files and the filename is getLogin, so when i type getLogin, it will return what I need.
