Should I refuse to accept cheap, thoughtless gifts from my mother?

sorry but you sound a little ungrateful. why does a pricetag matter so much when it comes to gifts. Tell her flat out you don't want anything and if she insists on giving you gifts that you'll just drop it off at the good will.
