Why do I feel like my heart is in Britain?

I've never even been there. I'm from the United States, but I have a fondness for British humor. I also like that they seem to waste less. The British guys I've met have been humorous, smart, and generally more appealing to me than American guys. So I'm thinking about traveling there this summer to see what it's like. What part of Britain would you suggest I visit? If I like it enough, how difficult would it be for me to move there permanently? I'm a 20 year old female with no college degree yet, if that's helpful. Thanks!
